Demonstration Programme Held In All the RMS Divisions, West Bengal Circle on 18/03/2015

As per decision taken in the Circle Council Meeting held on 15^th – 16^th January’2015, demonstration programmes on local issues were held on 18^th March’2015 in all the RMS Divisions of West Bengal Circle.  Major section of members participated in the programmes with much enthusiasm as per reports received from the Division level. Memorandum with specific Charter of Demands on burning issues, were submitted to the Divisional heads jointly by AIRMS & MMS EU Gr. ‘C’ and Mail Guard and MTS Gr. ‘C’. Date of Programmes of agitation at the Circle level on these issues will be communicated to the divisional unions later on.

Congratulations to all the members of NFPE, WB Circle for making the demonstration programmes at the Divisional level a grand success.

Meeting of Working Women Group held on 4th March’2015

A General Body Meeting of Working Women Group RMS & MMS Employees' Union, West Bengal Circle was held on 4^th March’2015 at Kolkata GPO Auditorium. Com. Sumitra Goswami, Leader of Central Government Employees’ Co-ordination Committee addressed the meeting as the main speaker. She in her maiden speech  inspired the working women group for taking active part in the ensuing struggles at the call of our Federation and All India Central Trade Union. Com. Swati Roy Bera, Convener of Working Women Group All India RMS and MMS Employees Union, Com. S. K. Bardhan, President CHQ and both the Circle Secretaries of R- III and R- IV, W. B Circle were present in the meeting.

In Formal Meeting of Circle Working Committee Held on 10/02/2015

Informal meeting of Circle Working Committee of AIRMS & MMS Eu. Gr. ’C’, W. B. Circle was held on 10/02/2015. The following items of agenda were discussed and decided in the meeting.

1) Joint Circle Working Committee meeting of AIRMS & MMS EU. Gr. ‘C’, Mail Guard and MTS GR. ‘C’ will be held on 17^th February 2015 at Tarapada Memorial Hall at 11:00 hrs. sharp.

2) Tour Programmes will be conducted by the leaders of both the Circle Unions jointly upto the Branch levels of different divisions i/c/w ensuing programmes at the call of CHQ and Federations.

3) Divisional leadership will have to take intense initiative i/c/w ensuing Parliament March on 28^th April 2015 so that at least 5 members from each division union may participate at the Programme.

4) Kolkata based Division Unions should ensure massive participation in the rally of 13^th Feb 2015 at Rani Rashmoni Road, Y. Channel.

5) Demonstration and rally at the every division on 18^th March 2015 and that at Y. Bhawan on 8^th April 2015 at the call of Circle Union.

6) Seminar for Working Women Group R- III, NFPE, W. B. Circle, will be held on 4^th March 2015. Venue and time will be communicated later.

R-III , CIRCLE COUNCIL MEETING

Circle Council Meeting of AIRMS & MMS EU Gr. ‘C’, West Bengal Circle Branch was held on 15^th and 16^th January 2015 at Kolkata GPO Auditorium, Kolkata – 70001. The Council Meeting was inaugurated by Com. Pijush Ray, General Secretary, CGCC, West Bengal. He in his inaugural speech called for preparing all cross sections of RMS employees for forth coming struggles  to be launched at All India level at the call of all Central Trade Unions. Com. Tapan Dasgupta, Jt. Conveyor of 12^th July Committee addressed the open session of the Council Meeting and inspired the audience to prepare themselves for a serious struggle in forth coming days against the all out attacks on the working class. Com. S. K. Bardhan, President CHQ, R- III, Com Nirmal Channdra Dey, Circle Secretary, P –IV Union, West Bengal Circle, Com. Sanjoy Chakraborty, Circle Secretary R- IV, West Bengal Circle, Com. Janardan Majumder Circle Secretary , P – III, West Bengal Circle, Com. Asit Das, Circle Secretary, SBCO, West Bengal Circle, Com . Amit Mondal, Circle Secretary, DRM and Casual Workers’ Union, West Bengal Circle and many other leaders from West Bengal Circle addressed the Council Meeting. programmes of Agitation movement from Branch Level to Circle level on different local issues have been decided to be undertaken from  3^rd week of February 2015 to Last Week of March 2015. It was further resolved that a massive agitation proagramme including Day Long Dharna at Yogayog Bhawan will be arranged on any day of 1^st week of April 2015. The particular date will be announced later.

The participants of the circle Council meeting conveyed their heartiest thanks to the comrade of Kolkata RMS Division for making wonderful arrangement in all respect in connection with the Circle Council Meeting. The Circle Council Meeting ended with grand success. Most of the Divisional and Branch Secretaries were present and delivered their views in the Council Meeting.
