Subject:- Handling and processing of Registered Parcel and Packets.

Respected Madam,       

           Kindly refer to Directorate letter O.M.No. 3-23/2012 –D dated 22.11.2013 vide which a new operation network of parcel products has been put in place. It has been prescribed therein that Business Parcels/Registered Parcels/Ordinary Parcels would be handled at `Parcel Hubs`It is clarified that Registered  Packets  are  to  be  handled  together  with Business/Registered/Ordinary  Parcels  at  the  Parcel  Hubs  and  articles barcoded  as  well  as  bag  labels  would  be  the  same  as  prescribed  for Business/Registered/Ordinary Parcels.

                The tariff of the Registered Packets and Registered Parcels are different as per Departmental orders. But the above mentioned orders issued by Directorate are contradictory, even a wrong message is going to public who are the subscribers of our Postal Department. These orders will also effect the RP Sorting.

                       We  would  urge  you  to  kindly  not  to  mix  the  2nd class Registered  Packets  and  Registered  Parcels  and  reconsider  the  above mentioned orders.
